The Foothills 2020 Vision
In 2020 we will be a place-based, caring community. Our foothills community will be a safe place to live where our natural resources support jobs for our children and where opportunities for economic, social, cultural, and recreational activities are assured for residents of all ages and stages of their lives.
This statement conveys the core values identified by participants in the Community Visioning Session in March 2006, sponsored by the Chateaugay Revitalization Committee. The year 2020 was chosen as the selected “target date” because that is the year children entering the school system now will be graduating. These children are our most important resource for the future of our communities.
